Key Points from the Speech of Comrade Driss Mrani, President of the Moroccan Progressive Movement, on Channel 12 Brazil, dated May 8, 2024:



Congratulations to the President of Brazil, Mr. Lula da Silva, for his recent positions against the Zionist entity.

Encouragement for the Brazilian government to adopt diplomatic positions supportive of democracy and human rights in Morocco.

Calling on all Brazilians to participate in international campaigns aimed at boycotting the Moroccan regime.

Urging the Brazilian government to freeze funds siphoned by the Moroccan regime from the Sahara to finance its actions against Moroccan and Sahrawi human rights activists.

Standing in solidarity with our brothers and sisters in Western Sahara, emphasizing the Moroccan regime's ambitions in the eastern Sahara under the sovereignty of the neighboring Algerian state. The movement also pledged to send its leaders to visit refugee camps in Tindouf, with a commitment to the Sahrawi General Secretariat to end colonization upon the establishment of the Moroccan Republic.

Addressing the catastrophic human rights situation in Morocco, including the arrests of journalists, bloggers, musicians, activists, and human rights defenders, and highlighting the existence of secret detention centers in Temara and Ain Ouda.

Explaining that the relationship between the Moroccan people and the royal regime is deteriorating due to several reasons, including normalization with an entity against the will of the people, as well as increasing impoverishment, marginalization, and escalating repression in Morocco.
