Under the theme "Moroccan and Brazilian Women: A Partnership for a Bright Future," Mr. Driss Lmrani, President of the Moroccan Progressive Movement, held a digital communication meeting with the Brazilian Women's Association on May 28, 2024. This leading women's association, which includes more than 125,000 Brazilian women serving their nation's interests in various fields, from economics and politics to culture and civil society.
During this virtual meeting, Mr. Lmrani emphasized the importance of strengthening ties of cooperation and friendship between Moroccan and Brazilian women. He stressed the need to exchange experiences and successful practices in the field of advancing women's rights and empowering them economically, socially, and politically.
The President of the Moroccan Progressive Movement praised the significant achievements made by Brazilian women in recent years, considering them a role model for Arab and African women. He also highlighted the vital role played by the Brazilian Women's Association in defending women's rights and promoting their participation in decision-making at all levels.
For her part, the President of the Brazilian Women's Association, Ms. Carla Silva, expressed her happiness with this communication meeting with the Moroccan Progressive Movement, affirming the importance of strengthening bridges of cooperation between women in the two friendly countries. She praised the remarkable progress made by Moroccan women in recent years, calling for more coordination and joint work to achieve full gender equality and build more just and prosperous societies.
